What is Assistance with Community Participation Social?

Assistance with Social and Community Participation covers a bunch of activities. This is great as you get so much freedom over your supports, but it can also make it hard to know where to begin.


Your goals are important and Life Choice Solutions wants you to achieve your life goals. Below is just some ideas to get you started on "living your best life".

  • go to the football
  • learn how to dance
  • join a social group
  • take an outing or a holiday
  • go on a holiday camp
  • visit your local library
  • see a movie or a concert
  • go to community events
  • join a sporting club
  • learn how to cook


This support category can be provided as 1:1 support or in a group setting.

Life Choice Solutions also provides supports to attend our 2 social programs

  • Connect4 Fantastic Friendship & Fun who meet up once a month for social activity in the community.
  • Friendship Friday is a social group held at our Soldiers Point site and meet up every Friday evening for social connection where you get to hang out and make new friends and have fun.

WHAT IS ASSISTANCE WITH DAILY LIFE

Assistance with Daily Life is support with everyday personal activities that assist you to live as independently as possible at home and in the community.

You can be support in your own home, or in a shared living arrangement such as supported independent living or  you may need help to access the community.

Support types that you may be able to access under Assistance with Daily Life in your NDIS Plan include:


LIFE CHOICE SOLUTIONS CAN HELP YOU WITH

  • getting ready for your day (self care such as showering, dressing etc.)
  • high intensity self care activities
  • overnight sleepover support
  • help you get out and about in the community including driving you to places or accompanying you on public transport
  • household chores such as cleaning or laundry support
  • basic yard work lawn mowing or gardening
  • food preparation and meals
  • health and fitness goals
  • assistance you getting to appointments.
